Halton Region
Weeping Tile Disconnection & Sump Pump Subsidy
Rebated up to
$6,500
100% of materials and labour
The Region pays the entire bill for getting your weeping tile off the wastewater sewer and a sump pump put in — materials, labour, permits and the camera work to prove it, up to the cap. No approval to wait for: the job gets done, then you claim.
Costs covered
- Weeping tile disconnection from the wastewater lateral
- Sump pump supply and installation
- Plumbing assessment, where one is needed
- CCTV drain inspections before and after
- Permit costs
- All materials and labour to complete the work
Your home must be inside Halton Region — Oakville, Burlington, Milton or Halton Hills — and connected to the regional wastewater sewer; homes on septic aren't eligible. One subsidy per property. Unusually, there is no pre-approval: claims are accepted up to 12 months after the work is finished, and the cheque follows 4–6 weeks after a complete application. Water-powered backup sump pumps are the one thing not covered.
